- Explain crystalline silica
- Explain respirable crystalline silica
- Explain the hazards of respirable crystalline silica dust
- Explain the term “8 hour time weighted average (TWA)” when monitoring airborne contaminants
- Explain the term “Permissive Exposure Limit (PEL)” as it applies to employee exposure to an airborne contaminant
- Review the Action Limit and PEL for respirable crystalline silica
- Explain Hierarchy of Controls
- Explain Specific Exposure Control Methods for respirable crystalline silica
- Explain Alternative Control Methods required for employers not using Specified Exposure Control Methods
- Explain control measures for concrete and masonry dust generating operations
End-of-Course Exam: (optional)
- The end-of-course exam measures the students’ knowledge of the course learning objectives.
- The exam consists of 20 true/false questions.
Students who pass the exam with a score of 80% or higher will receive a certificate of completion.
