On June 30, 2022, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) published COVID-19 Public Health Guidance for K-12 Schools to Support Safe In-Person Learning, 2022-2023 School Year. The guidance discusses mitigation strategies against COIVD-19, including managing exposed students and staff, COVID-19 testing, vaccinations, and optimizing indoor air quality, and is meant to support safe in person learning for the 2022-2023 school year. In addition, CDPH also published the Preliminary Testing Framework for K-12 Schools for the 2022-2023 School Year, along with FAQs that include information on COVID-19 testing operations for K-12 schools and how they can refine their testing programs for the 2022-2023 school year.
