EIA Welcomes New Settlement Specialist
We are very happy to announce that Donna Delfin has joined our workers’ compensation team in the newly created settlement specialist position. Donna comes to us with over 30 years of experience in the workers’ compensation industry. Her background includes work as a claims examiner, claims supervisor, regional educator and critical claim case manager. For the past 18 years, she has managed complex, catastrophic, high exposure claims with a focus on settlement. She is a skilled negotiator, experienced at settling claims prior to or at informal settlement conferences and mediations.
We have developed a caseload of claims for Donna to evaluate for settlement. If you have a claim that has pierced your SIR that you feel would benefit from a push toward settlement, please contact Kathy McLean. We are excited about this opportunity to be proactive and have a positive impact on any adverse excess workers’ compensation claims development.
EIA Surplus Chairs
The EIA has 18 conference room chairs that are no longer needed, so they are being offered to members. If you are interested, please contact Gina Dean by email or at (916) 850-7300 by Wednesday, September 7th. If more than one member is interested, we will solicit bids and they will go to the highest bidder. While the chairs are in good shape, they are offered “as is” and must be picked up at the EIA office in Folsom.
