National CPR and AED Awareness Week
June 1-7 is National CPR and AED Awareness Week and organizations across the country are highlighting the importance of learning Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). The American Heart Association reports that bystander CPR can double or triple survival rates for cardiac arrest victims, but only 32% of victims receive this potentially lifesaving intervention. To that end, EIA Risk Control has partnered with HSI to provide members with access to a cost effective and convenient solution to their CPR, First Aid, and AED training needs. For more information please contact the Risk Control Department.
New Team Member Joining the EIA’s Workers’ Compensation Department
As many of you know, Kathy McLean has retired as of June 1. We are happy to welcome Karin Wedworth to the Workers’ Compensation Department as our new WC Claims Manager. Karin brings with her 20 years of work comp experience and will be a great addition to the EIA family!
