Board Approves JPA Amendments
On Friday, March 6th, the Board of Directors approved amendments to the JPA Agreement effective June 30, 2020. The most significant amendment is that the name of the EIA will change to Public Risk Innovation, Solutions, and Management (PRISM). The updated Agreement will become effective upon the EIA’s receipt of signatures on the amended Agreement from at least two-thirds (42) of the voting EIA Board Members. An email was sent to the voting board members this morning from EIA’s Chief Legal Counsel, Michael Pott, with copies of the Agreement and information on the approval process and timeline. Further updates on our name change will be coming soon!

Cyber Security Webinar and Security Health Check
Cybersecurity and defense is one of the rising threats to many organizations, including public entities, as bad actors become bolder and more sophisticated in their attacks. Join Synoptek, one of our business partners, for a discussion on EIAtv of the types of threats that organizations might face and what you can do right now—without committing numerous resources—to harden your cyber security and reduce your risk. As an additional promotional offer, Synoptek is giving a 2 hour assessment to establish a Security Health Check for the first 5 attendees of the webinar. In the Security Health Check, Synoptek analysts will perform an interview based on a set of industry standard items, score the results, and present a security score and how you can improve your cyber security posture. Contact Ian Chadwick for more information.
