PRISM Perspectives: Homelessness Crisis Part 1

Join us tomorrow May 19th at 9 a.m. for PRISM Perspectives Podcast. This will be the first in a 3-part series addressing the Homelessness Crisis in California. Special Guest Kristi Schulenberg, Director of the Center for Capacity Building at the National Alliance to End Homelessness, oversees efforts to help communities by providing training, technical assistance, and tools to providers and public agencies nationwide. She will be discussing a variety of issues around this timely topic, including obtaining and leveraging funding for homelessness programs.

June Board of Directors Meeting Now Virtual

It has been more than two years since the PRISM Board has met in person, and unfortunately, it will be a little longer before we meet again. We had planned to hold the June meeting in Sacramento, but due to the rising number of COVID cases and the meeting’s close proximity to Memorial Day and many graduation gatherings, we are moving the meeting to Zoom. The health and welfare of our members, staff, and business partners is our highest priority.

If you had registered to attend in person, we will cancel the travel reservations made on your behalf. If you haven’t registered yet, please do so as soon as possible so we can determine if we will have a quorum.

Warm Weather Quickly Approaching

Did you know that employers are required to train their employees on heat illness prior to working in the heat? Cal/OSHA's Heat Illness Prevention Standard, Title 8 CCR, Section 3395, requires employers to establish procedures to include policies and training to mitigate heat illness. Don't wait until summer is here to review policies or get employees trained. PRISM Risk Control has curated the following resources to help you get started:
