At the recent Board of Directors meeting, staff updated the 145 attendees on the state of PRISM. In case you were not able to attend, I wanted to share the highlights with you. Staff presented information on the progress made on our strategic initiatives and what lies ahead, reviewed PRISM and program financial positions, reviewed the state of our major programs and highlighted new risk management initiatives.

Executive Committee Election Results |

At last week’s Board of Directors meeting, the following members were elected to the Executive Committee for 2025:
- President – Karen Caoile, Contra Costa County (1/1/25 – 12/31/25)
- Vice President – Aaron Holmberg, Inyo County (1/1/25 – 12/31/25)
- Public Entity Representative (Past President) – Barbara Lubben, YCPARMIA (1/1/25 – 12/31/26)
- CAO – Scott De Moss, Glenn County (Remainder of 2 year term, 1/1/25 – 12/31/25)
- Risk Manager – Lance Sposito, Santa Clara County (1/1/25 – 12/31/26)
- Finance – Rebecca Craig, Napa County (1/1/25 – 12/31/26)
- At-Large – Tanya Moreno, San Joaquin County (1/1/25 – 12/31/26)
- At-Large (BOS) – Helaina Wilkinson, Placer County (1/1/25 – 12/31/25)

Property Program Renewal Forms Due Soon |

Friendly reminder: all applicable forms for the 2025/2026 PRISM Property Program renewal are due November 1, 2024. The updated information you submit will be a determining factor for your renewal premium. Any changes reported after November 1, 2024 may need to be endorsed onto the policy and/or require additional premium. Please refer to the PRISM Renewal Timeline Policy for important deadlines. Additionally, members have the option of increasing their current All Risk, EQ and/or Flood deductibles to aide in premium relief. All requests should be may on or before January 15, 2025 with final decisions made by no later than January 31, 2025.

Join Senior Risk Control Specialist John Nichols, ARM, CAC, CLP, for this interactive workshop on control strategies for workplace violence (WPV) hazards. This free workshop is suited for those responsible for managing WPV hazards at the workgroup, department, and/or organizational level.

Important EWC/GL1 Program Due Date Reminder |

Courtesy reminder that both the 2025/2026 EWC/GL1 Renewal Applications and the 2023/24 Final Payroll Audit Forms for EWC/PWC members were due Friday, October 4, 2024. These applications are accessible via the PRISM website. If you need an extension, please contact Virginia Blanco or Aubrey Cannon at 916.850.7300 or by email.
