The Senior Safety & Risk Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for the County Human Relations Safety and Risk Management Unit to develop, recommend, implement, and drive policies, procedures, and best practices related to Disability Management and Employee Safety functions. Disability Management includes oversight of workers' compensation program administration and Employee Safety includes oversight of all Cal/OSHA and Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance programs as well as safety performance for County departments.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree or higher in business or public administration, or a closely related field; AND Four (4) years' of progressively responsible experience as a manager in a public agency; OR Possess at least five (5) years of progressively responsible analytical or professional level experience in Public agency HR and/or Risk Management programs, with a minimum of two (2) years equivalent to a Manager III in Stanislaus County.
* Additional experience as described above may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis
