Job Description:

Workplace Violence Prevention Manager $10,364 - $12,599/Monthly* Starting salary up to $72.44/hour ($151,190/year) and a competitive total compensation package!*

As an integral part of the County HR team, the Workplace Violence Prevention (WVP) Manager will oversee the newly established WVP Unit, which will work to increase violence prevention awareness and training for all employees and ensure the County is compliant with CA Senate Bill SB553. Alongside County HR's Occupational Safety and Health Unit, this position will also work closely with all County departments and agencies to assess workplace safety, in a variety of settings, and develop mitigation strategies to address risks.

Requirements:

Additionally, the WVP Manager will be responsible for:
• Systematically developing, implementing, and modifying the County's Workplace Violence Prevention Plan
• Managing the County's Threat Assessment Team and processes, including the design and implementation of a robust coordinated regional approach to threat assessment and response
• Developing WVP-related performance measures and systems, and tracking and reporting overall program performance to County leadership and regulatory agencies (Cal-OSHA, etc.)
• Creating and utilizing standardized tools and documentation to develop and implement data-driven process improvements
• Managing multiple workplace security professional services agreements to ensure maximum performance/return on investment, timely and accurate invoicing, and appropriate coding of expenditures within the County's budget structure
• Effectively assessing and stepping into action when faced with urgent or emergent threats or behaviors
• Supervising an HR Technician in support of workplace violence prevention initiatives and training through the County's learning management system (LMS)
