School Safety for the Industrial Arts
This guide was created to assist public agencies in keeping students, faculty, support staff, and guests in their Industrial Arts classrooms safe. It covers where hazards are typically found, potential hazards, and how best to protect people from these hazards. The first section of the guide reviews key injury prevention methods that should be common for all Industrial Arts classes. Then, subsequent sections provide details on the unique exposures, hazards, and their safeguards, for specific categories of classes such as auto repair, woodworking and metal shop.
