OSH Standards Board Approves Amended COVID-19 ETS

At its June 17, 2021 Board Meeting, the California Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards Board approved revisions to Cal/OSHA’s COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS). Shortly thereafter Governor Newsom issued executive order N-09-21 allowing implementation without Office of Administrative Law (OAL) approval, making the revisions effective upon filing with the California Secretary of State.

OSH Standards Board Withdraws Its Amended COVID-19 ETS

At its June 9, 2021 Special Board Meeting, the California Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards Board withdrew its June 3rd revisions to Cal/OSHA’s COVID-19 Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS). The effect of the Board’s action is the initial ETS adopted in November of 2020, will remain in-place until revised or rescinded.
